About Us

Extenso is a leading supplier of industrial weighing solutions and was founded in the early 2000s by Knut Bakke, a former owner of Procon.

Since 1975, Procon had been developing weighing and dosing systems. They acquired a number of other specialist weighing equipment manufacturers, including the weighing division of Negretti Automation Ltd, in order to deliver full process control systems across a range of applications and sectors.

 

Procon became a wholly owned subsidiary of National Oilwell (NOV) in 2000. As a result, Extenso was formed and an agreement was established with NOV for Extenso to continue supplying the wide range of weighing equipment Procon had acquired.

 

In the 20 years plus that have followed, Extenso has developed these products and brought innovation and expertise to extend our industrial weighing solutions.

 

Extenso has delivered industrial weighing solutions to clients including  LKAB  (new KK4-KA3, KK3 and KK2 with about 80 belt weights and 7 loss in weight systems), Hydro Aluminum (Karmøy, Årdal and Sunndalsøra), Elkem Solar's new factory, Pioner and Pilot stations in Kristiansand, and many others.
